The six nations is upon us and we are loving it. Feel free to come and join us for all the games no matter who you support you will experience our Yorkshire hospitality.
If you do know we have a secret sports den upstairs then we hope to see you for the Six Nations, Champions League, Europa League and Leeds United's run in to the promised land. If you don't know we show all major sporting goings on upstairs where it feels like being in your front room only with a bar downstairs and loads of strangers who will be friends before you leave.
Football, Cricket, Rugby, Cycling, Racing, Athletics, Tennis, golf and pretty much anything else you care to request.
All we ask is you respect the building, staff and each other when watching.
Obviously being Yorkshire themed any sporting event involving a Yorkshire team will take priority if there is a clash.
Yeah, you heard. Every Tuesday you will find a pint of any of our cask ales is only £2.50! Including normally Kirkstall Pale or Roosters Yankee & any other delight from the Yorkshire breweries we have on that week! For those non cask drinkers, Carling is also £2.50 and Sharps Atlantic on keg £3.00.
From 10am till the minute we close, if you're lucky you'll get chance to try a few new ones as the casks change throughout.
Si thi next Tuesday!
This is very out of date now, from when we very first started out in this crazy journey but we still love it
So we had the very talented John Slemensek wander around Wapentake working his magic with the camera. We absolutely love all the images and the video he has produced during his time here. John has done a spectacular job of capturing the character of Wapentake, the building and everything within it. The video in particular is perfect when you can't quite find the words to describe what we do, the boy wonder got it all on here!
Please check out John's work at https://www.bokehgo.com
He is one of the nicest guys you'll have the pleasure of meeting, as well being a phenomenal photographer
Now if that songs stuck in your head, go and check out Huw Eddy & The Carnival. A group of lovely lads that met at Leeds College of Music just down the road from us at Wapentake. Since graduating they have continued to make marvellous music for you to bop along to. I may not be Jo Whiley but I'd keep an eye out on this band, they are definitely one to watch! https://soundcloud.com/huweddyandthecarnival
