CROONER CLUB
Crooner Club is a cosy, community-focussed open mic night held every Wednesday at Wapentake, Leeds. Situated in the heart of the city’s up-and-coming artistic hub Kirkgate, Crooner Club is warm and friendly night dedicated to supporting the local music scene, welcoming each and every performer with open arms and offering the opportunity to perform for a supportive audience of regular patrons and fellow musicians.
Over the years, the Crooner Club stage has seen everything from blues harmonica players to jazz saxophonists, spoken-word poetry to live comedy, folk singers to loop pedal maestros. Run by local musicians Samantha Hoare and Sammie Faye Rose, Crooner Club has previously been listed by Open Mic UK as one of Leeds’ top ten best open mic nights.
